Who Am I?

Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?” John 1:22

Glen, speaking on the occasion of Ellie’s baptism and 18th birthday, spoke about how baptism is an opportunity to say something about ourselves. It is an opportunity to declare publicly to the church community that there is something broken about us, that there is something we need above and beyond that which we can do for ourselves. Baptism shows that we are interested in a new beginning, a few start and a new identity, an identify that is not based on who we are but on what God can do in and for each of us.
