A Tale of Two Kingdoms

Elijah Kwasa

The leaders of a divided Israel after the death of Solomon reads like a perpetual race to the bottom… seeing how far they could stray from God. The lure of Soloman’s ‘High Places’ and a spirit of rebellious pride stopped them having a real and personal experience with God.

It is the same with us. We need to ask ourselves if we are really seeking God now while he can be found, and zealous to do His will. Am I ready for God’s reproof and willing to respond with zeal? Accepting God’s love is accepting God’s rebuke. God loves me. Do I love Him?

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. Rev 3:19,20
