Elijah Through An End Times Lens

Pr Christopher Petersen

For more than three years there had been drought in Israel leading to a time of severe famine. Good then sent Elijah to confront King Ahab with a message to gather the people together where they would choose who they would serve. They had been hedging their bets, worshiping both Yahweh and the gods of Jezabel. Now had come the time to be faithful. In our day it is easy to be like Israel, partly following God, while being distracted by the pleasure this world has to offer. Pastor Christopher showed us the similarities between this story and the book of Revelation, and how both are hinged on the question: Who will I worship? There will come a day where we will not be able to waver between two opinions. We will need to choose.

Rev 14:7 “…Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
