Are You on Track?
I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Revelation 6:12-13
Both Matthew 24 and Revelation 6 describe the end time events of the Lisbon earthquake, the dark day and the stars falling from heaven. Just after this time William Miller began preaching the Second Advent of Jesus. Thousands of people believed, but all were greatly disappointed in 1844 when Jesus didn’t come as they had expected. A small group continued to study their Bibles and they discovered they had made a mistake – the sanctuary was not the earth as they had believed. It was an actual building in heaven. These people formed the early Seventh Day Adventist Church. God wants us to have a foreknowledge of what would happen in the future so that we might be prepared. We are living in the time just before the last trumpet of Revelation sounds. God is on track. What he has said will come to pass. In a short time there will be delay no longer. Are you ready for Jesus to come? Are you on track?
The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets. Revelation 10:5-8
