Revelation’s Everlasting Gospel

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Revelation 14:6-7

Ten days before the yearly Day of Atonement the children of Israel would camp around the sanctuary. Once a year the priest would enter the Most Holy Place. The people surrounding the Sanctuary would be silent, listening intently for the tinkling sound of the bells attached to the hem of his robe. The priest would never stop moving. If the bells stopped ringing the people knew they had not been forgiven. When the priest finally exited the sanctuary the people were filled with exhilaration. The goat representing Satan would take their sins with him into the wilderness.

We need to stay camped around the truths of God, and we need to be commandment keeping people. Satan will try to deceive us. Only our connection to God will save us from deception. Just as we are saved by being in the presence of the Lamb, evil will be destroyed by being in the presence of the Lamb. That is the gospel. The gospel is not only about saving each of us. It is also about putting an end to evil. Let us live in the presence of the Lamb.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
