Forgiveness: The Daughter of Grace

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” (The Lord’s Prayer – Matt 6:12)  How hard is it to forgive those who have wronged us? How many times should we forgive them? Do we gain anything from forgiving them? And what happens to those wrongs when they are forgiven? Peter takes a look inside the challenging issue of letting go and forgiving those people who have wounded us. God’s forgiveness of us is dependent upon our forgiveness of others, a moment by moment resolve which in itself is a gift of God.

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed. (Is 53:5)
