Not Just Empty Lives

I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind. Ecclesiastes 1:14

Does life have meaning? Is there a point to us being here? People search for happiness through experiences, and riches and success. But in the end all things and all people melt away like grass in a bush fire and before long even the memory of them has been forgotten. So, is everything we can achieve just vanity?

No – it’s not all just futility. We only have one life to live and that life was given to us for a purpose. True success and meaning, true happiness and purpose only comes from serving our fellow life travelers. We all have a purpose, a goal and a destination, and it is this: we must share the love of Christ and His message of a future hope to a dark, hopeless world. Everything we do for Christ has immense eternal meaning and purpose and is the only eternally meaningful definition of  riches and success.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,

For this is man’s all.
For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14
