Youth Service – Young Characters of Old
This week we had a special service presented to us by our youth group. Lourich de Klerk, Anita Carvill and Joshua Kingston have chosen the theme of “Young Characters of Old – A closer look at youth in the Bible: Learning, Living, Leading.”
Lourich and Joshua open up for us the lives of Mark and Timothy, two young companions of Peter, Paul and Barnabas in the very early years of the Christian church. Anita selected many characters from the Bible whose lives and choices illustrate three common traps that can catch us today, and she gives us advice on how to stay connected to God. Joel Kingston wrapped it up for us and closed with prayer.
And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:15
