Jesus Sufficiency
From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”
But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” John 6:66-69
Have you ever pictured what heaven would be without Christ? There will be streets of gold and mansions. There will be no illnesses, no sorrow, and no death. But the kingdom of heaven is not about having a life with no stress and a nice house. Instead, the kingdom of heaven is about being with God. If my religion is only ever about things and not Jesus Himself, I am just fooling myself. Heaven is about a person. It is not just a place. And that person is Christ. He is sufficient. He is everything I need.
