The Local Church (Living as a Church pt.2)
Is the church necessary for my salvation? Salvation is by grace alone, in faith alone, in Christ alone. But if I am saved, my salvation will then change the way I live my life. Church is vital to my experience because it is by interacting with others that we see things about ourselves that we would never have known otherwise. Church is also vital because we serve each other, and in so doing act as the hands and feet of God to others. God is calling us to connect with each other and to support and uphold each other. We can only do this if we maintain a living connection with God and continually grow in our love for Him.
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
