The Pharisees had set a trap for Jesus, knowing that no matter what He chose to do, they would have him for breaking the law – either Jewish or Roman. Instead of speaking, Jesus bent to write in the dust, and slowly the scribes and the Pharisees slunk away. They had been convicted, and they ran away from Jesus who knew their hearts. The woman was also convicted, but instead of running away, she ran to Jesus. Jesus restored her, and bade her to “…go and sin no more”. Jesus also longs to restore you – will you run to Him?
