Unbecoming
The world seems to be becoming increasingly angry, and if we aren’t careful it will pull us into its vortex of hate. We stop seeing people around us as individuals, and instead see them with blinkers on, only noticing their differences to us instead of how we are similar. Jesus is the antidote to this way of thinking as He calls us to live lives of love.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails… (1Cor 13:4-8)
