He Touched Me

Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. Acts 3:6-8

As Peter and John walked into the temple they passed a beggar, a man who had been a cripple since birth. The only thing he hoped for was to be given enough money to buy something to eat. Unknown to him, Peter and John had much more to give him. Because of their faith in Jesus, they were able to heal him and make him whole. “The words and works of the disciples represented the words and works of their Teacher; and all who heard them said, They have learned of Jesus, they talk as He talked.”

Each of us will eventually reach a position in which we have exhausted all our options. It is then that we need to place ourselves in a position where Jesus can touch us, bless us and help us. We need to be touched by the Spirit because that is what will make the difference in our lives.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22,23
